Batumi football stadium has been designed in accordance with the requirements of UEFA category 4 and can hold 20 000 spectators. The stadium is designed with full framed structural diagram. Its monolithic reinforced concrete load-bearing elements are comprised of simple bar and flat platelike elements. The concept is inspired by Georgia’s passion for dance. It utilizes the motion of whirl common in dances of the Caucasus. The building’s outer skin captures motion in a well-delivered way, producing a dynamic impression.
